Dopo essersi frequentati per un breve periodo, Jake e Stella vanno a vivere insieme. Le cose precipitano quando Stella, rimasta incinta, lo annuncia a Jake. Egli, impegnato nella sua carriera di regista, non si mostra entusiasta all'idea di avere un figlio.
