Genesis | In Concert

Genesis In Concert, filmed in 1976 during the band's tour supporting the album A Trick Of The Tail, was the first long-form concert video featuring Phil Collins as lead vocalist, taking over from Peter Gabriel who had left the previous year. Supplementing Collins at percussion during this tour was Yes & King Crimson drummer Bill Bruford, whom Collins was a fan of and who volunteered for the job until a permanent touring drummer could be found. The movie combines film of two shows: one at the Apollo Theatre in Glasgow, Scotland on July 9, 1976, and one at Bingley Hall in Staffordshire, England on July 10, 1976. Long out of print on VHS and laserdisc, the film resurfaced as an extra on the band's 2007 CD+DVD reissue of A Trick Of The Tail. This album is the Asia fan's dream come true. An outstanding music BDDisc (filmed in Tokyo) which features the 4 original members (John Wetton, Steve Howe, Geoffrey Downes, and Carl Palmer), accompanied by excellent sound quality and camera work. The camera focusses on the band members playing and does not dart back and forth from the audience to the band members. What a relief! This album marks the 25th anniversary of the 1st Asia album, which came out in 1982.

Filmed live at London's Rainbow Theatre in December 1972, the innovative group Yes performs its progressive rock symphonies -- epic compositions that influenced new trends in contemporary music. "Yessongs" provides a visual record of the concert tour that became a groundbreaking tour de force in rock music. This unique concert video of Yes was filmed during their record-breaking tour and features the talents of the five original band members. The massively popular band defined the prog rock movement with their mystical epics which infused both a Medieval and Classical sound into rock music. Live at The Moody Coliseum, University Park, Dallas, Texas, March 19, 1977 When they toured, Genesis decided to go for the best light show imaginable, dropping the projections they had used in the past. According to the CD notes, “The result was staggering. The sight of those fifty jumbo jet landing lights, lit all at once or flashing in time with the music, or the amazing new laser effects, left audiences stunned and delighted and in no doubt at all that this was indeed a world class band.” They had also become a very tight outfit and the show was taped for an official release, which never materialised. Steve Hackett - Selling England by the Pound & Spectral Mornings, Live at Hammersmith

Live recording from Steve Hackett's critically acclaimed 2019 UK tour. The concert was recorded at the Hammersmith Eventim Apollo, the final night of the tour. Steve Hackett was joined by his touring band of Roger King (keyboards), Jonas Reingold (bass), Rob Townsend (saxes/flutes), Craig Blundell (drums and percussion) with Nad Sylvan on vocals. Special guests for this performance were Steve's brother John Hackett (flute) and Amanda Lehmann (guitar and vocals). This was a very special tour for Steve Hackett as it brought together his favourite album from his time as guitarist with Genesis - Selling England By The Pound - which Steve and his band performed live in its entirety for the first time. The show also featured selected tracks from Steve's personal favourite album from his extensive solo career Spectral Mornings, together with tracks from his acclaimed 2019 release At The Edge Of Light.

In the 1970s, England's Electric Light Orchestra (aka ELO) was renowned for both its lushly textured prog rock and its ornately orchestrated arena concerts. This program captures the band performing live at London's Wembley Stadium in support of their OUT OF THE BLUE album in 1978, combining a spectacular light show and special effects with classic tunes such as "Standing in the Rain," "Sweet Talking Woman," "Mr. Blue Sky," and many more.

Iamthemorning: Ocean Sounds

Shot at and named after a remote recording studio on a Norwegian island, the footage offers a behind-the-scenes insight into the recording techniques of two of modern progressive music's most talented composers. The content captures Iamthemorning's live set-up from the last three years, with the setlist consisting of songs from their first three studio albums and an unplugged recording of Blue Sea (the first track to be written for the duo's upcoming fourth album and exclusive to the Blu-ray). The studio was designed with panoramic windows that allow the stunning back-drop of Giske Island and the Norwegian Sea to be integrated into the performances (a location that is featured in glorious high-definition on this Blu-ray). Destroy All Neighbors

William Brown, a neurotic, self-absorbed musician determined to finish his prog-rock magnum opus, faces a creative roadblock in the form of a noisy and grotesque neighbor named Vlad. Finally working up the nerve to demand that Vlad keep it down, William inadvertently decapitates him. With melodic progressive rock and socially critical lyrics, the British band Porcupine Tree also gained a large fan base in Germany at the turn of the millennium. In 2005, Rockpalast filmed them at their gig in Cologne's Live Music Hall. At their concert in Cologne, the band played a varied set of 15 songs, including their hit at the time, Lazarus.
