Pluto Cane da Punta

Topolino e Pluto vanno a caccia di quaglie. Pluto spaventa i primi che vedono; Topolino lo rimprovera, poi cede. Mostra a Pluto come essere un puntatore, e si avviano dopo un'altra quaglia, ma Topolino salta accidentalmente sul naso di un orso e pensa che sia Pluto. Nel frattempo, Pluto trova la quaglia e la punta. I bambini salgono a bordo e iniziano a stuzzicarsi i capelli, ma a Pluto è stato detto di non muoversi. Topolino finalmente incontra Pluto, che ormai è coperto da piccoli animali, e si rende conto di essere seguito da un orso. Topolino cerca di ragionare con l'orso e indietreggia da un dirupo, su Pluto.

Life of a Mutt

Through seven scenes, the film follows the life and destinies of stray dogs from the margins of our society, leading us to reconsider our attitude towards them. Through the seven “wandering” characters that we follow at different ages, from birth to old age, we witness their dignified struggle for survival. At the cemetery, in an abandoned factory, in an asylum, in a landfill, in places full of sorrow, our heroes search for love and togetherness. By combining documentary material, animation and acting interpretation of the thoughts of our heroes, we get to know lives between disappointment and hope, quite similar to ours.

Passin' Through è un bandito alla Robin Hodd, ruba ai ricchi per dare ai poveri. In questo caso, ai figli illegittimi, perché lui è convinto di essere nato al di fuori del matrimonio. Scopre però che sua madre era stata sposata e che il marito era stato ucciso da Bud Frazer, un vecchio corteggiatore respinto, che si era voluto vendicare e che poi aveva perseguitato la donna finché anche lei non era morta. Passin' Through decide di trovare Frazer non solo per vendicare la morte dei genitori, ma anche per salvare Amy, la sua ragazza, che il malvivente ha rapito. Le cose sembrano però volgere al peggio, perché Passin' Through si trova a dover combattere da solo contro tutta la banda di Frazer. Quando arrivano i soccorsi, la situazione si capovolge e lui fa fuori il bandito insieme ai suoi scagnozzi. Riunito alla bella Amy, Passin' Through cavalca con lei verso un futuro migliore.

Assalto al treno

L'ultima scena è la più emblematica del film e mostra il capo dei banditi, che, seduto e inquadrato fino al busto, alza la pistola e la punta contro la macchina da presa (gli spettatori), sparando verso l'obiettivo senza batter ciglio. La scena, che, a discrezione del proiezionista, poteva essere montata anche all'inizio del film (e fu l'unica a essere colorata a mano), aveva un effetto a sorpresa ed era destinata a sorprendere il pubblico. Se montata all'inizio poteva valere come anticipazione dell'azione successiva, se montato alla fine era una sorta di minaccioso avvertimento che il cattivo poteva tornare, soprattutto tenendo conto che gli spettatori ben sapevano che nella realtà il capo dei banditi del vero assalto al treno era ancora libero.
