La vendetta della pantera rosa

Il mafioso Philipe Douvier ha perso la fiducia del padrino di New York, per riacquistarla decide di uccidere l'ispettore capo Jacques Clouseau.Questi diventa vittima di due attentati dai quali esce illeso, Douvier decide di fargli un'imboscata. Clouseau mentre si reca sul luogo dell'imboscata viene derubato dei vestiti, della macchina ed è costretto ad andare in giro vestito da donna. Ma il suo rapinatore finisce nella trappola e muore, e tutti credono che sia Clouseau. Ad indagare è l'ex ispettore capo Dreyfus, appena guarito dalla sua follia che lo teneva relegato in manicomio. Clouseau viene scambiato per un travestito e viene arrestato, ma scappa, e decide di fingersi ancora morto. Così riesce ad arrivare a Simone che lo aiuta. Dreyfus scopre che Clouseau è vivo e rischia la pazzia, decide di eliminarlo seguendolo a Hong Kong. Clouseau si finge il padrino di New York con Douvier per incastrarlo, ma arriva il vero padrino e Clouseau si trova inseguito dalla mafia e da Dreyfus.

Sette anni dopo il primo fortunatissimo capitolo, la vena degli sceneggiatori e della regia non si è esaurita, e il film vale il precedente, graffiante, sorretto da uno humour crudele che spesso vira al nero. E gli attori sono sempre in gran forma.

In another attempt, the gang has to coordinate breaking through several walls at The Royal Theater in Copenhagen with the "Elverhøj" overture.

What impact will this have on Dev and his brother on one hand, and what of his career in music?

Though often dealing with sexuality, nothing in the film is terribly offensive or graphic. A prime example of mainstream experimental film-making from the early 70's featuring a young and breathtakingly lovely Victoria Principal.
