Biography: Anthony (Tony) Sawyer Horton is commonly known as "America's Trainer" because he is the most well-known and recognizable male personal trainer in the USA. He is a personal trainer, creator of many exercise video series, several books, former stand-up comedian, infomercial actor, and movie actor. He moved from the East Coast to California at a young age, and while trying to break into acting, other actors noticed how fit he was, and hired them to train him, including Tom Petty. He was instrumental in changing the genre of exercise videos from being produced as a low-budget cheesy afterthought into professionally produced, high-quality content. His most famous, revolutionary exercise program is P90X. It was followed by P90X2 and P90X3. In 2017 Tony revealed he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. But after a 2 year break, he came out with his latest series, called "Tony Horton's Next Level". In 2014 Tony married Shawna Brannon, who also appears in P90X3. They live in the greater Los Angeles area. Tony is now in his 60's and still going strong - active on Facebook other social media and in public life, conducting regular interviews to help Americans stay in shape.

P90X - Plyometrics

Plyometrics is a series of drills designed to connect strength with speed to produce power. Also known as "jump training," this technique emerged in Eastern Europe in the early 1970s. Coined by American track coach Fred Will, the term derives from the Latin plyo+metrics, or "measurable increases." Plyometrics training relates to any activity that requires speed and strength, as it improves your ability to run faster, jump higher, and maneuver in multidirectional sports. If your game involves a court, field, track, mat, pool, ring, rink, or mountain, plyometrics can help.

P90X - Shoulders & Arms

Applying the same principles as Chest and Back, you'll superset these muscle groups to exhaustion. As you'll be using smaller muscles, this might prove slightly less of a struggle - but that doesn't mean you won't be fully maxed when this workout is said and done. Just be sure to keep your form during the latter part of the routine, when you'll be tempted to cheat your range of motion. Maintaining good form is critical for proper muscular development and preventing injury, so stay strict and get ripped!
