Payback (2014) took place on June 1, 2014 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. It was the second event under the Payback chronology, with the event having originated in 2013. After the match Suzuki and Ishii brawled because of this not only was a tag team title match was made but another match where Ishii will defend the RPW British Heavyweight Championship against Suzuki. At Sakura Genesis, Kazuchika Okada defeated Zack Sabre Jr. to retain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. At Dominion 6.9 in Osaka-jo Hall Sabre Jr. defeated the Chaos team of Ishii and Yano in a tag match. Because of this victory a Sakura Genesis rematch was made for the show between Okada and Sabre Jr. Jay White was originally announced as going up against Chris Brookes, but as Brookes fell ill, he was replaced with Kyle Fletcher.

WrestleMania XX was the twentieth annual WrestleMania . It took place on March 14, 2004 at Madison Square Garden in New York. The main match for the Raw brand was a Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship between champion Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit. The main match for the SmackDown! brand featured Eddie Guerrero versus Kurt Angle for the WWE Championship. The event featured the return of The Undertaker, who challenged Kane. All In (2018), promoted by Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks, was a landmark independent wrestling event held on September 1, 2018, at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Featuring talent from NJPW, ROH, CMLL, Impact, AAA, MLW, and the NWA, it drew over 10,000 fans, becoming the first U.S. wrestling event outside of WWE or WCW to do so since 1993, and its success led directly to the launch of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in January 2019.
