Julienne Taylor & the Celtic Connection: Live at the Lyric

Scottish singer/songwriter Julienne Taylor's debut concert took place on September 24th at the Lyric Theatre, Academy for Performing Arts, Hong Kong featuring her band from Scotland, The Celtic Connection. The concert blu-ray was filmed for release in late 2012. Compared to the likes of Norah Jones and Eva Cassidy, she's captured the hearts of many (with a especially large following in Asia) with her romantic Celtic folk and pop songs. Featured hits on this video are some of her famous hits from her album ""The Heart Within"" and some traditional Scottish folk songs along with her own compositions and interpretations of classic lovesongs included on her debut album ""A Time For Love"" which some of it have been featured in a number of Korea TV dramas.

Coldplay at the BBC

Eroica

British filmmaker Simon Cellan Jones directs the BBC drama Eroica, starring Ian Hart as Ludwig van Beethoven. Shot on digital video, this TV film depicts the first performance of Beethoven's Third Symphony, June 9th, 1804, in Vienna, Austria. Prince Lobkowitz (Jack Davenport) has invited friends to listen to Beethoven conduct his new symphony for the first time. To open its 2019-2020 season, La Scala in Milan has chosen Tosca, in a new production directed by Davide Livermore. The production is part of the rediscovery of Italian opera led by Riccardo Chailly, the conductor of the production and music director of La Scala. He has chosen the original version of Tosca, as created by Puccini in Rome in January 1900, which included eight "additional musical inserts" that were removed from the work after its second performance in Turin in February 1900 and will now be rediscovered for the first time on December 7 at La Scala.
