A puddle of water held in shape by my thoughts

"Water reflections are never static, its fluid form constantly plays with the light in new and totally unique ways. Trying to capture this process naturally leads to an imperfect representation. Embracing this, ‘a puddle of water held in shape by my thoughts’ plays with the materiality of the digital image with the border between digital grain and the movement of the water constantly blurring. This ongoing research project consists of clips recorded over the last two years. - During the Leaving Space exhibition (2024) the work was presented as an installation using an old LCD screen, a wash-stool and other spacial elements. The space where the screen was installed could only be observed from the outside through the glass doors but not entered.

Dieter Roth. Solo Scenes. 1997-98

These 131 video monitors stacked in a grid present simultaneous, continuous footage of the German artist during the last year of his life. In this filmed diary-project that Dieter Roth executed while convalescing in Reykjavik and Basel, we see him not only working in his studio but also while he sleeps, bathes, and uses the bathroom. It is nearly impossible to pay attention to only one video without becoming distracted by an unexpected sound or movement coming from one of the many other screens. Each monitor broadcasts a different point in the artist's daily routine, while the gridlike arrangement of monitors reinforces a sense of order and chronology.

superposition

superposition is a project about the way we understand the reality of nature on an atomic scale and is inspired by the mathematical notions of quantum mechanics. Performers will appear in Ikeda’s work for the first time, performing as operator/conductor/observer/examiners. All the components on stage will be in a state of superposition; sound, visuals, physical phenomena, mathematical concepts, human behaviour and randomness – these will be constantly orchestrated and de-orchestrated simultaneously in a single performance piece.

The Ultimate History of the F16 Fighter

When it first flew, it was considered way ahead of its time in flight control, avionics integration and cockpit features. But today's processors are a hundred times more powerful than those available in the 1970's and yet, the F-16 has been able to adapt to the new technologies as they come on stream. In fact, the F-16 is so successful that it is envisaged being in service until well into the 21st century. This programme features unique footage of F16 flight tests as well as presenting its combat record, especially during the two wars in Iraq. It finishes with a superb display sequence by a Belgian Air Force F-16.

Akiho Yoshizawa Temptation: Eating Me

A sensual coming-of-age drama set in Shonan that carefully follows the trajectory of a woman who is swaying in love. Akiho Yoshizawa, who boasts of idol-like popularity, plays a woman who is bewildered by her love that she pretends not to notice when her rival appears unexpectedly. Aki (Akiho Yoshizawa), who works at an Italian restaurant, has been managing the restaurant with Kawano (Hideki Nishioka), who stands alone in the kitchen since the death of his wife, who was in charge of desserts. For some reason, my heart flutters when I see the motion.
