Il film si concentra su cinque dei più importanti rappresentanti dell'attuale controcultura cinese: gli artisti visivi Gao Brothers, il coreografo e ballerino Wen Hui, l'animatore Pi San e il poeta Ye Fu. Da prospettive diverse, illuminano con coraggio e spirito sovversivo i problemi sociali del loro Paese. By combining documentary material, animation and acting interpretation of the thoughts of our heroes, we get to know lives between disappointment and hope, quite similar to ours.
