McCoy Tyner - Guitars

Il DVD riprende gli artisti in studio, pianoforte è armonia e ritmo con passaggi di interplay, nella miglior tradizione di Tyner; il disegno melodico è lasciato ai solisti della chitarra, che personalizzano i brani. Con Scofield prevale certamente la fusion, con trame a tratti forse troppo prolisse. Con Ribot emerge un carattere più avant, che Tyner compensa con una base tonale chiara. Fleck dà vita a una simbiosi molto interessante, con un banjo non banalmente tradizionale che a volta ricorda il sitar indiano e introduce contaminazioni sonore molto moderne. Frisell introduce timbri quasi “new age”, fluidi, a tratti narcotizzati, basati su arpeggi più che su passaggi melodici; forse è l’artista con cui Tyner riesce a fondersi meglio, riducendo la separazione tra accompagnatore e solista. Con Trucks i brani hanno tutto sommato meno personalità; Greenslaves è un traditional riprodotto in chiave di divagazione divertita.

This man is Kurt Diemberger, climber and filmmaker of high peaks and distant lands. He is 82 years old, but he lives in the "now" rather than the past, continually exploring the land beneath his feet, in places dear to him in Austria, Italy and the Dolomites, as if he continued his research through the eye of the camera he uses for the observer.

Topolino è un mago che si esibisce in un teatro, mentre Pippo si occupa di sipario e luci del palcoscenico. Topolino inizia lo spettacolo facendo apparire un tavolino e trasformando il proprio mantello in un corvo, ma viene deriso da Paperino che sta seguendo lo show da un posto d'onore sulla sinistra del palco. Il papero cerca poi di sabotare tutti i trucchi in cui si esibisce Topolino, ma ogni suo tentativo gli si ritorce contro (tra le altre cose, subisce un incantesimo che gli fa sputare carte da gioco). Alla fine Paperino si impossessa della pistola lanciarazzi di Topolino e gli spara, facendo crollare il soppalco su cui lavora Pippo.
