Sei anni prima di Arancia meccanica di Kubrick, Andy Warhol propone la sua versione del romanzo di Anthony Burgess – o meglio, dei momenti salienti – raccontando nello spazio di 4 lunghi piani-sequenza l’allucinante esperienza di un giovane teppista, Victor (Gerard Malanga), sottoposto alle torture del trattamento di rieducazione che lo renderanno innocuo, remissivo, schiavo e vittima del sistema contro il quale si era ribellato. Esperimento cinematografico di Andy Warhol realizzato all’insegna di una estetica sado-maso e di una provocazione stilistica che ignora volutamente le più elementari regole del “fare cinema”.

WWE TLC: Tables Ladders & Chairs 2009

TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs (2009) was the first annual TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs PPV. It took place on December 13, 2009 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. Each main match contained a stipulation utilizing tables, ladders and chairs as legal weapons. The primary matches included Christian challenging Shelton Benjamin in a Ladder match for the ECW Championship, Sheamus challenging John Cena in a Tables match for the WWE Championship, the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, The Undertaker, defending his title against Batista in a Chair match and the main event, where Chris Jericho and The Big Show defended against D-Generation X (Triple H and Shawn Michaels) in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship. Other matches in the card included John Morrison versus Drew McIntyre for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, Michelle McCool versus Mickie James for the WWE Women's Championship and Randy Orton versus Kofi Kingston.

The masquerader [La mascherata]

Chaplin arriva agli studi Keystone, e subito il regista lo manda in camerino. Chaplin ne esce truccato da Charlot, e il regista gli spiega che la scena che si appresta a girare prevede che il vagabondo salvi un bambino che sta per essere pugnalato da un cattivo (interpretato da Jess Dandy). Ma Chaplin prima si attarda con alcune fan accorse sul set, e poi rovina la scena con la sua irruenza. Il regista decide quindi di sostituirlo con Chester Conklin, ma Chaplin per ripicca rovina nuovamente la scena. Il regista, furioso, lo insegue e quindi lo licenzia. Poco dopo, agli studi compare un'affascinante diva, calorosamente ricevuta dal regista che le promette una parte e fa sgomberare il camerino degli attori per farglielo usare. Ella si rivela però essere Chaplin travestito, che dopo aver ripreso le sembianze di Charlot, viene inseguito dal regista e dagli attori e da loro gettato in un pozzo.
