The Mix

The Mix is a dark comedy about Sal, the happy and hapless owner of a home grown cookie company. With his business riding a financial plateau and his loyal girlfriend Christine pushing for career and relationship growth, Sal and his business manager Tim place their hopes in the hands of the enigmatic Joshua Vandersteem. After the deal goes bad, Sal is forced into desperate action. Leaping narratively through time, The Mix tells the story about what happens when a good man makes one bad decision after another.

It shows surveillance footage of mob capo Paul Vario's crew and photographs of Jimmy Burke and Paul Vario. The programme gives Henry Hill's personal opinion on what happened, as well as the testimonies of eyewitnesses. It also features an excerpt of a 1978 news report on the famed Lufthansa heist and footage of a newspaper column printed at the same time.

Failing to kill him she ends up in prison, where she befriends a crew of other malcontents (including Yumiko Katayama and Chiyoko Kazama) and meets the Yakuza boss's girlfriend (Miki Sugimoto). Upon release Reiko reassembles her mob and launches a Machiavellian scheme to engineer a gang war between Hayama's Oba Industries and the formerly dominant Hamayasu Clan. The rival gangs begin killing each other off and Reiko works her way closer to her ultimate vengeance.
