The Jungle of Cities

Athens, 1964. A police reporter, Nikos Avgeris, has the journalistic mission to cover a suspected car crash that killed a senior state official. His investigation reveals that the victim was responsible for the financial control of a large building organization and that he was being used to cover the illegality of his administration. This organization had abused much of the money earmarked for the erection of homes for homeless war wounded, and is now very much annoyed by the revelations of Augustus. This is why they try to close his mouth, but he is not hurt and continues the investigation. Augustus reaches the end, revealing everything and clearing up yet another dirty affair.

Finding Vision, Finding Voice

This abstract video art piece was made for the purposes of being a backdrop to a semi-improvisational three person dance piece and live spoken word monologue in collaboration with other artists of various fields. Blurring the line between tradition and creating something new- this work looks at the evolution of artistic practice. Hazy visuals enter the process of creative ideas with such art forms as dancing, drawing, and photography. At an audio standpoint, the score goes through a similar creation by being a recording of a guitar pluck being altered into an atmospheric synth and overlaid with field recordings of art making. The piece takes into account the various ideas and thoughts that go into artistry, and lead the viewer from the traditional aspects of preparation and through to the breaking of tradition to create something unique and personal to the artist.

Commando Cody è un ricercatore e inventore civile con vari dipendenti al suo servizio. Ha inventato un casco aerodinamico e uno zaino a razzo sonico che egli utilizza con una tuta volante in pelle. Cody ha anche costruito un razzo in grado di raggiungere la Luna. Quando gli Stati Uniti vengono attaccati da una forza misteriosa che può spazzare via intere basi militari e complessi industriali, Cody ipotizza - correttamente - che l'attacco proviene dalla Luna, che raggiunge quindi a bordo del suo razzo.
