Power and the handing down of power over time, the evolution from ancient monarchies to modern democracies, old age, youth - it is against this backdrop that the characters of Alegría play out their lives. Kings' fools, minstrels, beggars, old aristocrats and children make up its universe, along with the clowns, who alone are able to resist the passing of time and the social transformations that accompany it.

Although it's a man-made lake, it is named after a natural body of water of the same name. The surrounding area includes the charming village of Virginia Water, which stretches out to the lake's eastern side. As they arrived, Jackson and his sisters were captivated by the lake's serene setting, enjoying the warm summer day surrounded by lush greenery and blooming flowers.

Hector Lavoe è stato uno dei più grandi cantanti di salsa della storia. Veniva da Porto Rico, ma si era trasferito a New York con la famiglia a diciassette anni e lì, giovanissimo, aveva trovato la sua strada nella musica come vocalista nell'orchestra di Willie Colón. La sua personale battaglia contro l'industria discografica a colpi di talento (ne aveva da vendere) e carisma non allontanò mai Lavoe dal palco, a farlo furono le droghe alle quali ormai era assuefatto. Parte della sua parabola è narrata nel brano composto da Rubén Blades "El cantante", che appare nell'omonimo film diretto da Leon Ichaso e prodotto da Marc Anthony e Jennifer López in omaggio al grande artista. Nella storia di Lavoe deve averci riconosciuto qualcosa della sua, il cubano americano Leon Ichaso che, arrivato a New York negli stessi anni del grande salsero, ha trovato la sua strada come regista nella città le cui notti sono cadenzate dai ritmi latini.

Rapidamente notata per la sua precisione e la sua abnegazione al lavoro, Mélanie viene assunta in casa del signor Fouchécourt per prendersi cura del figlio. Allegro non troppo è un film a tecnica mista, in parte dal vero e in parte d'animazione, prodotto e diretto da Bruno Bozzetto. Dichiaratamente ispirato al classico disneyano Fantasia, è composto da sei episodi animati (più un finale composto da diversi cortometraggi di pochi secondi), ciascuno accompagnato da un celebre brano di musica classica, inseriti in un film-cornice girato dal vero, in bianco e nero. In un teatro vuoto, un pomposo presentatore introduce un insolito spettacolo: mentre un direttore d'orchestra fa eseguire i brani a un'improbabile orchestra improvvisata, formata da vecchiette in abiti belle époque prelevate da un ospizio, un disegnatore, tenuto incatenato per anni, ne realizza in tempo reale la versione animata.
