Gary Moore: Blues for Jimi

“Blues for Jimi” è uno splendido live che il compianto Mr. Moore ha registrato il 25 ottobre 2007, durante la sua esibizione al London Hippodrome, pubblicato postumo in cd e dvd nel settembre 2012. I musicisti che lo accompagnano sono David Bronze al basso e Darrin Mooney alla batteria. Nel trittico composto da “Red House” – “Stone free” ­ “Hey Joe” salgono però sul palco Billy Cox & Mitch Mitchell, rispettivamente bassista e batterista di Hendrix ai tempi degli Experience, per i quali il tempo sembra non essere passato. Bene… con questa premessa si capisce immediatamente che parliamo di un album di immenso spessore, dal grande significato storico, riguardo al quale le parole risultano superflue al punto che scrivere qualcosa è al contempo semplice e difficile. Perché questi musicisti sono riusciti in quello che ogni artista ed ogni uomo dovrebbe a mio parere cercar di fare: lasciare un segno indelebile nella storia. Jimi & Gary lo hanno fatto. Jim Marrs looks at the Aurora Crash. According to a news story that appeared in The Dallas Morning News, an "airship" crashed in Aurora Texas on April 17th, 1897. According to the news report, published two days later, the "airship" crashed into the windmill at Judge Proctor's place and the pilot -- a "Martian" -- was killed in the crash and later buried in the town cemetery. In 1897 a UFO crashed in Aurora, Texas where it hit a windmill and exploded. The remains of an alien body were recovered and buried in the local cemetery. This documentary was premiered at the first annual Aurora Alien Encounter on Saturday, April 16th, 2016 - An event to commemorate the historical incident
