Satoyama II: Japan's Secret Watergarden

Each home has a built in pool or water tank that lies partly inside, partly outside its’ walls… A continuous stream of spring water is piped right into a basin, so freshwater is always available. People rinse out pots in the tank and clean their freshly picked vegetables. If they simply pour the food scraps back in the water, they risk polluting the whole village supply. However, carp can scour out even the greasy or burnt pans. They do the washing up in Satoyama villages. This traditional arrangement is called the riverside method. It’s used all over Japan. Cleaned up by the carp, the tank water eventually rejoins the channel.

Alvar Aalto: Technology and Nature

The Finnish architect Alvar Aalto (1898–1976) is one of the great figures of modern architecture, ranked alongside Gropius, Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe. This film analyses Aalto’s uniquely successful resolution of the demands and possibilities created by new technology and construction materials with the need to make his buildings sympathetic both to their users and to their natural surroundings. His inventive use of timber in particular represents both a reference to the forest landscape of Finland and a building material that is ‘warm’ and extremely adaptable. Filmed in Finland, Italy, Germany and the USA, this documentary shows how the Finnish natural environment and art traditions were essential elements in Aalto’s pioneering harmonization of technology and nature.

A taxi driver, who recruits girls for an underground organization run by a distant descendant of Rasputin, suggests they visit the Rasputin Museum. During the tour, the girls are hypnotized by the evil character, who hypnotizes his victims before using their charms to seduce the rich tourists.

Rishi is a writer/director who is narrating a script close to his heart to Rohini - possibly the lead protagonist of his film. As he begins his narration, we step into the world of Rahul, Riya, Rambo and Raju - four friends living their best days amusing people with childish shenanigans in school. These four "Vellas" are complete and content with each other's company and couldn't care less about the world around them until life hits them in the face. An enthralling script narration on one end, and four immature kids trying to correct a plan gone wrong on the other - Velle is about laughter, friendships, frenzy and the unpredictability of life.

Per anni hanno abitato nello stesso stabile, a Roma e dopo il matrimonio, Daria cambierà casa, alterando il loro rapporto consolidato di complementarietà, spostandone l'equilibrio, dopo le difficoltà comuni dell'isolamento pandemico. Appena è possibile, con la loro compagnia (Deflorian/Tagliarini), Daria e Antonio iniziano le prove di uno studio ispirato a Ginger e Fred di Federico Fellini. La macchina da presa li segue a distanza molto ravvicinata nella preparazione dello spettacolo e anche fuori dallo spazio teatrale. Il pedinamento del loro lavoro di registi, drammaturghi e interpreti, impalpabile, fragile, soggetto a continui cambiamenti, si fa affascinante materia di racconto tanto quanto le attese, i loro confronti anche accesi, le tensioni attorno al tempo per provare, che sembra non bastare mai.
