At the time the play was first performed, the audience would have been reeling in the wake of a pestilence and its economic, political, and social aftermath. Seen through this lens Oedipus the King appears to have been a powerful public health tool for helping Athenians communalize the trauma of the plague, through a story that is as relevant now as it was in its own time.

Popov Vodka Presents: An Evening with Doug Stanhope

A compilation of three videos recorded during a private, invitation-only gig at The FunHouse in Bisbee, Arizona (where Stanhope lives, the audience is comprised of his close friends and neighbors) in 2016. He doesn't make fun of them; he makes fun about them. Afflictions, vulnerabilities and flaws are a part of human beings and Neville takes his feelings about them, analyses and then presents them. It's a perspective of someone who is going through them. And you see him crumble and rise with each story, you can also see him going downhill.
