Selvaggi ragazzi di strada

Tommy Gordon, giovane studente, è desideroso di abbandonare la scuola per trovare un lavoro e poter così dare supporto alla famiglia che versa in difficili condizioni economiche a seguito delle drammatiche conseguenze della crisi economica del '29. Ne parla all'amico Eddie Smith, il quale chiede al proprio padre di trovare lavoro per lui, scoprendo tuttavia che suo padre ha da poco perso il lavoro. Eddie vende la sua macchina per racimolare soldi e favorire la situazione familiare ma quando le tasse superano la capacità economica della famiglia ai problemi si aggiunge anche un possibile sfratto. I due ragazzi decidono così di non voler essere un peso per i genitori e, per fare in modo di non gravare su di essi, lasciano le loro case e partono per un avventuroso viaggio, alla ricerca di un lavoro, alla volta di New York.

Through seven scenes, the film follows the life and destinies of stray dogs from the margins of our society, leading us to reconsider our attitude towards them. Through the seven “wandering” characters that we follow at different ages, from birth to old age, we witness their dignified struggle for survival. At the cemetery, in an abandoned factory, in an asylum, in a landfill, in places full of sorrow, our heroes search for love and togetherness. By combining documentary material, animation and acting interpretation of the thoughts of our heroes, we get to know lives between disappointment and hope, quite similar to ours.
