Lorenzo Caruso è uno psicologo in una città di provincia, vedovo con una figlia. Il titolo è un gioco di parole in quanto presenta una forte assonanza con la frase "tel chi el terùn" ("eccolo qui il terrone"). In effetti, il trio - che è composto da due attori settentrionali e uno meridionale - deve parte del suo successo alla forte contrapposizione linguistico-caratteriale dei propri membri e utilizza talvolta, sempre in senso bonariamente scherzoso, anche la parola "terrone" nei propri sketch.
