Il 1 marzo 2004, Patrick Berhault e Philippe Magnin partono da Saint Christophe en Oisans con l’intenzione di scalare, una dopo l’altra tutte le 82 cime al di sopra dei 4000 metri delle Alpi, dall’Oisans al Bernina passando per il Monte Bianco, il Vallese e L’oberland Bernese. Entrambi gli alpinisti sono molto conosciuti per il loro stile nell'affrontare l’arrampicata in modo puro e genuino. Questo loro nuovo progetto, ideato principalmente per spirito di cordata e per piacere d’avventura, è un’opportunità per esplorare le cime delle montagne più alte d’Europa da un’angolazione diversa, percorrendo vie sempre nuove e avvicinandosi alla montagna fino quasi a diventare un tutt'uno con essa.
