L'allegro fantasma

Nelle ultime volontà di un ricco signore defunto si legge che il testamento deve essere aperto davanti ai figli che egli ebbe da una illegittima relazione con una cavallerizza di circo equestre. Il notaio riesce ad identificare uno di tali figlioli: un vagabondo che è ospitato - loro malgrado - nella sontuosa casa dei presunti eredi. Costui, con l'aiuto di tre buone cuginette, riesce a trovare il suo gemello: un compositore di canzoni in gran voga, che è vittima di una esosa combriccola di sfruttatori. Anche il compositore è ospitato nella casa del defunto. Alla fine si viene a sapere che esiste un terzo gemello, il quale è identificato nella persona di un giocoliere da circo equestre. Dopo una serie di incidenti e di controversie, tutti gli eredi si accordano su una equa distribuzione dell'asse patrimoniale.
