I topolini, aiutati dalla Fata Smemorina, decidono di confezionare un libro da regalare a Cenerentola. Scrivono così tre diverse storie: Aim to Please (Cenerentola e il Principe sono appena tornati dal viaggio di nozze, ma il giovane deve partire nuovamente per affari di Stato...), Tall Tail (Il topolino Giac si sente inutile, e chiede alla Fata Smemorina di trasformarlo in un uomo. Nella sua nuova identità si troverà a disagio...), An Uncommon Romance (Anastasia, sorella di Cenerentola, si innamora di un panettiere. Sua sorella Genoveffa e Lady Tremaine, la matrigna di Cenerentola, non sono d'accordo. Cenerentola, dimenticando tutti i torti subiti, aiuta la sorella a imparare a sorridere e a imporre la propria volontà alla madre...). In conclusione del film, il libro confezionato è regalato a Cenerentola, che lo legge insieme ai topolini e alla Fata Smemorina.

Robert Benchley ha avuto l'idea di trarre un film animato dal racconto di Kenneth Grahame Il drago riluttante. La moglie lo convince a presentare la sua idea alla Disney, anche se Benchley se ne vergogna. Arrivato agli studios Disney una guida lo accompagna per un tour mentre attendono che arrivi Walt Disney in persona. Attraversando i vari reparti degli studios, Benchley assiste alle fasi della lavorazione dei cartoni animati attualmente in produzione. Alla fine, quando incontrerà Walt Disney la sua idea sarà stata già realizzata. Seduti in una sala proiezione guardano insieme il loro film, "Il drago riluttante". Dopo aver quindi scoperto che Walt Disney ha già avuto l'idea, torna a casa deluso.

He sells all his sheep and those entrusted by other villagers to him for care, and decides to use the money to go out into the world with the girl, only to find himself being deceived and cheated by her. Ironically, in his journey of self-discovery, Tharlo has lost his sense of self. As he witnesses in the mirror his ponytail being cut off and leaving him bald, he can no longer see himself as a man with a history that he recognizes.

Nel lontano 1940 la Walt Disney Production stupiva il mondo (di allora) con un film di animazione che 'metteva in immagini' alcuni dei più famosi brani di musica classica. Il film avrebbe dovuto intitolarsi didascalicamente "Il concerto filmato". Qualcuno ebbe la felice idea di chiamarlo Fantasia e quel titolo fece il giro del globo. Fantasia 2000 che è stato in gestazione nei laboratori Disney sin dal 1991, invece non convince fino in fondo.
