Wrath of Dracula

The year is 1897. When her husband Jonathan disappears after travelling from England to Transylvania at the behest of the mysterious Count Dracula, Mina Harker journeys to Transylvania to find him. Upon her arrival, she finds a decimated village and one Van Helsing, who is hunting Count Dracula. Van Helsing begins training Mina in the art of vampire slaying, and the unlikely duo set off to rescue Jonathan from the Count and his brides and end Count Dracula’s reign of terror forever.

Based in B. Stoker's novel, the musical that triumphed in Argentina and the world for 25 five years, is a success of Pepe Cibrián Campoy, his author and director, and of Ángel Malher, his composer. The musical picks up the story of count Dracula, inmortalized by Bram Stoker in his 1897 novel, with an exceptional cast leaded by, in the role of Dracula, Juan Rodó; Candela Cibrian in the role of Mina, Jonathan's enamored, who's interpreted by Leonel Fransezze; Luna Pérez Lening embodies Lucy's cousin, possessed by the count's spirit; the nanny is played by Adriana Rolla and, as Van Helsing, Germán Barceló. This invaluable cast is accompanied by talented dancers and singers as the ensemble.

This isn't the only thing that doesn't make it a regular stand up special, it's also that he's doing sitting down. He treats his audience like is therapist and pretty much leaves them bereft of hope but bloated with laughter. It's dark, it's poignant, it's melancholic but it's hilarious. Considered one of the comics with the darkest material in India, Neville doesn't disappoint. The topics he deals with are narrated anecdotally, making them approachable. He doesn't make fun of them; he makes fun about them. Afflictions, vulnerabilities and flaws are a part of human beings and Neville takes his feelings about them, analyses and then presents them. It's a perspective of someone who is going through them. And you see him crumble and rise with each story, you can also see him going downhill.

Il film fu diretto da Michael Wadleigh e fu montato da (tra gli altri) Martin Scorsese e Thelma Schoonmaker. Ricevette l'Oscar come miglior documentario e fu nominato per il miglior sonoro. Nel 1996, Woodstock fu scelto per essere conservato nella National Film Registry della Biblioteca del Congresso poiché esso è "culturalmente, storicamente o esteticamente significativo". Il 9 giugno 2009 è uscita una versione più lunga, sia in Blu-Ray che in DVD, con alcune scene non presenti nella versione precedente, incluse le versioni integrali delle esibizioni dei Creedence Clearwater Revival e altri.
