BORROMINI E BERNINI. SFIDA ALLA PERFEZIONE è il racconto della rivoluzione architettonica di un genio solitario che cambia per sempre l’aspetto di Roma attraverso una sfida personale alle convenzioni e ai pregiudizi, con l’umiltà di apprendere dal passato per inventare il futuro, con il coraggio di portare avanti un’idea pagandone il prezzo fino in fondo. Lo stile di Borromini è riconoscibile, eccentrico, diverso: si distingue da quello dei contemporanei e trasuda un’austera autorità spirituale, con perenni allusioni che evocano l’infinito. All’epoca Jeanne era incinta e lasciava una figlia di un anno. È proprio a partire dalla sua figura e dalla lettura di un passo dai “Canti di Maldoror”, il libro che Modigliani teneva sempre con sé, che si apre il docu-film che trae ispirazione anche dalla mostra “Modigliani – Picasso. The Primitivist Revolution” ¬- curata da Marc Restellini e in programma all’Albertina di Vienna ¬- ed è arricchito dalle immagini di opere esposte sia all’Albertina, sia alla National Gallery of Art di Washington, nei musei e nelle collezioni di Parigi e nella grande mostra “Modigliani e l’avventura di Montparnasse” del Museo della Città di Livorno.
