The Clone Returns Home

Kohei Takahara, an astronaut who dies in the line of duty, is legally resurrected as a clone: however, contrary to the scientists' expectations, he reverts to his childhood memories when his twin brother drowned sacrificing his life for Kohei. Kohei's clone discovers the body of his former self mistakenly believing that it is his deceased twin. Reliving his tragic past, he sets off carrying his corpse body to the beautiful hometown where he lived with his now dead mother.

Through seven scenes, the film follows the life and destinies of stray dogs from the margins of our society, leading us to reconsider our attitude towards them. Through the seven “wandering” characters that we follow at different ages, from birth to old age, we witness their dignified struggle for survival. At the cemetery, in an abandoned factory, in an asylum, in a landfill, in places full of sorrow, our heroes search for love and togetherness. By combining documentary material, animation and acting interpretation of the thoughts of our heroes, we get to know lives between disappointment and hope, quite similar to ours.

Alla fine del 1944 mentre parte dell'Europa è stata liberata dal giogo nazista, ad Haarlem in Olanda i tedeschi ci sono ancora. Una sera, alla periferia della città, un collaborazionista locale viene ucciso proprio davanti a una villetta di un gruppo di tre. I cinque colpi di rivoltella sono uditi anche dai componenti della famiglia del prof. Steenwijk e il figlio minore, il dodicenne Anton, vede un cadavere steso nella neve antistante la casa. Anton sarà il solo scampato alla immediata reazione dei nazisti, piombati sul luogo: il fratello maggiore non si trova, i genitori sono catturati come colpevoli e la casa data alle fiamme. Affidato ad uno zio residente ad Amsterdam, il ragazzo pian piano sente svanire dalla sua memoria il ricordo di quelle ore terribili, ma gli resta vivo nel cuore solo l'affetto che gli dimostra una sconosciuta chiusa con lui nella cella dove Anton ha passato una notte: una partigiana accusata di aver ucciso un poliziotto.

Finalmente dopo anni di speculazioni vede la luce questo concerto dei supertramp registrato a parigi in tre serate 29/30 novermbre e 1 dicembre 1979; il tour è quello di breakfast in america ed è chiaramente il momento di "picco artistico" sia dal punto di vista della qualità delle canzoni che della qualità delle esecuzioni (la band risulta molto affiatata e divertita sul palco ... i dissidi tra da davies e hodgson erano evidentemente solo agli albori)
