The Escape

Julia has a good job and has two children with the caring Paul. But there are antidepressants in the kitchen drawer. She had imagined her life so differently when she was young and fantasized about it with her brother Jimmy. Their tragic farewell was twenty years ago, but still gnawing at her. After a fight with Paul, Julia decides to change course radically. She leaves - in the spirit of Jimmy - for the Portuguese Algarve. As she gets to know the mysterious gigolo Romeo, Julia's past comes closer than ever.

My Grandpa the Bankrobber

In order to find her father in Surinam Grace is forced to take some desperate measures. Grace is the only black child of an all-white family, desperate to find out everything about her Surinam father. Grandpa can help her, but his memory gets worse every day since the death of his wife. When the family decide to put Grandpa into a retirement home, he and Grace decide to use his savings to travel to Surinam - but the family has blocked access to his bank account. But their dreams can come true if they rob the bank

Kos (13) is going through the most bizarre period in his life. His mother died a few years ago and his dad is having a heart attack. While Kos’ father is in the hospital, it looks like the hotel he is running will be a big mess. But Kos and his three sisters do not intend to let that happen. After the siblings find out that father is deep in financial problems, the hotel is threatened with closure. The children however come up with a solution: someone has to win the local beauty pageant, with a hefty cash prize attached.

She investigates her grandmother's "summer house", made curious by the lock on the door.
