Biography: Adam Palmer is a multi-award winning filmmaker, based in the West Midlands. He is a member of the BFI NETWORK x BAFTA Crew 2021 scheme, and recently a BAFTA BFI Film Academy Mentor. His first film, the 16mm short film ‘CARRIAGES’ went on to win ‘Best Comedy’ (including nominations for ‘Best Screenplay’ and ‘Best Film’) at Screentest Festival 2014, and secured distribution in Japan via Pacific Voice Inc. His next short, ‘ANSWER‘, a no-budget film created in just two days, was recognised worldwide at various film festivals, including Toronto Lift-Off Film Festival 2018, and took home ‘Best Film‘ at the Breakout Film Festival 2018. 2020 saw the release of ‘JUDAS‘, his most recent project starring Nick Preston (Ladhood, Our Girl) and Lawrence Walker (Find Me in Paris, Our Girl), which premiered online with Directors Notes. The film has received high praise from various outlets, and screened in November at the BAFTA-Qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival 2020. Adam is currently developing a number of projects, from short films to music videos, as well as writing his debut feature film, ‘TENBY‘.

James is unlucky in love. He’s stuck in a routine of all work and no play and can’t seem to shake loose from it. The only thing that keeps him going is his daily commute to work, which he shares with the girl of his dreams. The only downside however, is he can’t pluck up the courage to speak to her, and she doesn’t seem to know he exists. With his two work colleagues as his only aid, James finds himself caught up in a never ending cycle of embarrassing and awkward situations as he attempts to win her heart. This is the story of when boy meets girl… But with nerves…
