Biography: Javier Torre (Buenos Aires, August 6, 1950) is an Argentine film director, producer and scriptwriter who has developed an extensive artistic career. He is the son of the film director Leopoldo Torre Nilsson and the grandson of the also director Leopoldo Torres Ríos. He has a degree in Letters from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires. He was Director of the General San Martín Cultural Center from 1983 to 1988, a period in which he had a great development, and later a civil servant in the Argentine Cinema Foundation of the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (better known as INCAA).
