Fanny and Alexander

As children in the loving Ekdahl family, Fanny and Alexander enjoy a happy life with their parents, who run a theater company. After their father dies unexpectedly, however, the siblings end up in a joyless home when their mother, Emilie, marries a stern bishop. The bleak situation gradually grows worse as the bishop becomes more controlling, but dedicated relatives make a valiant attempt to aid Emilie, Fanny and Alexander.

Same gangly canoer like 25 years ago also has a canoeing vacation on the canal when the race starts.

A priest is shot outside a hotel in Ystad and is fighting for his life in hospital. Wallander has no clues to the shooter until he finds out that the priest was having an affair.

1939

When the war breaks out, Annika lives with her parents in Värmland, close to the border to Norway. Her cousin Harald is a dealer in the black market but has to escape from the police to Norway. Annika moves to Stockholm and gets a job as a waitress. She meets the happy-go-lucky Berit and together they have a wonderful time. She also meets a young man, Bengt, whom she marries. But almost immediately she discovers that her husband is different from the man who was courting her. Plot by Mattias Thuresson.

After the murder of a motorcyclist, an investigation reveals that bikers are being used as drug couriers from Denmark to Sweden and that the killing was part of a cartel power struggle.

Wallander 31 - The Arsonist

When an arsonist is released from prison, the villagers do not want him anywhere near them. Soon they take matters into their hands and Wallander has to investigate whether their fear is justified.
