Solino

After every single trial resulted in nothing because of the islanders’ secret meddling, Jorg’s trip becomes elongated, like The Odyssey’s, forcing him to contemplate the priorities and responsibilities in life again.

Kebab Connection

In Hamburg, Ibrahim "Ibo" Secmez, of Turkish descent, wants to direct the first German kung-fu movie. For now, he makes commercials for his uncle's kebab restaurant. Titzie, an aspiring actress and Ibo's German girlfriend, finds she's pregnant. Ibo is uncertain about fatherhood - compounded by his father's disowning him for getting a German girl pregnant - so Titzie sends him packing. He makes attempts at getting it right, but as the birth approaches, he's still not ready. In the background are three thugs in search of good tripe soup and a Capulet-Montegue feud between the kebab joint and a Greek taverna across the street. Can Ibo be the glove upon that hand?

A Summer in Crete

Isabel Burger would normally consider herself lucky. An unexpected inheritance takes Isabel, a trained chef, to Crete, where her German father left her a country house complete with its own olive grove. If only her failed startup in Munich and the resulting financial woes hadn’t led to the recent opening of insolvency proceedings against her. Isabel’s insolvency administrator gives her four weeks to sell her house on Crete as best she can and use the proceeds to pay off her creditors.
