Biography: Freya was born in Hobart, Tasmania. She first wanted to be an actress at a very young age because she 'wanted to be like her big sister'. She got her first gig at the age of 8 in a local production of 'Annie'. Freya graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) in 2000 at the age of 23, where she was in many theatre productions such as 'Twelfth Night', 'There's no need to wake up' and ' Three sisters'. She then made her television debut as 'Basia Lem', a bisexual filmaker in the ABC series Head Start (2001) in 2001, although that television series didn't last more then a year.
