Abbasi made her cinematic debut in 2008 by starring in ‘A True Report’ and became a household name with the series 'Madness of Love' (2011). She has also performed in the series 'Lean on the Wind' (2011), 'Without Waiting' (2013) and 'Madineh' (2014) as well as the movies 'Objects in Mirror are Closer than They Appear' (2012), 'Track 143' (2013) and 'Breath' (2015). Abbasi also worked as an assistant director on the series 'All My Children' (2008).
