However, his official debut occurred with the film Khaddama (2011), following which he took on minor roles in movies such as Ee Adutha Kaalath (2012) and Annayum Rasoolum (2013). Nevertheless, Shine's significant breakthrough came with the fantasy comedy film Ithihasa (2014), which emerged as the highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2014.
