Her first break into the Kannada cinema industry came with the film Lucia and then was followed up by her lead performance in Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu. She received critical acclaim and recognition for her work in both these films. In 2016, Sruthi Hariharan founded a production house, Kalathmika.
