The Last Days of Frank and Jesse James

This movie looks at the last years (not days, as implied in the title) of famous outlaws, Frank and Jesse James. The film opens in 1877 with the brothers trying to settle down after 15 years of thievery. Frank is shown to be a book-loving and family-oriented man, while brother Jesse is a money-hungry womanizer. The movie follows their lives through Jesse's death at the hands of the "rotten little coward" Bob Ford and Frank's death in 1892.

As Bruce Lanning posts a "no trespassing" sign at a watering hole on his Circle A ranch, his sister Jane rides up with news that Wes Caven, the hired gun of the Elwood brothers, is looking for him. Soon after, Wes appears and kicks over the sign. Later, Sunset Carson, Wes's boyhood friend, rides into town to invite Wes to become a partner in his new ranch. Just as Wes declines the offer and offers Sunset a job working for the Elwoods instead, Bruce bursts into the saloon, demanding to see Frank Elwood. This time, Cisco takes on a frontier megalomaniac, shyster lawyer Steve Gentry, who has taken over a mining town. Gentry's confederate is dancehall girl Lil who is as deadly as she is beautiful. When itinerant preacher Henry Lane is beaten to a pulp by Gentry's goons, Cisco and Pancho move in for the kill.

The killing of a political leader shatters the peace of a small Mexican town. MANCO, the brother of the murdered presidential candidate knows the killer and sets out to exact his revenge. Arriving to investigate the assassination is special agent AMIGO from the Mexican Intelligence. Amigo quickly strikes up a friendship with a local hotel owner who fills him in on the town's seedy characters and gives Amigo a Single Action revolver. The stage is set for Amigo and Manco to join forces and take down the powerful and dangerous CAMARO family responsible for the murder and the corruption of the town. To gain the confidence of Camaro, Amigo breaks his top henchman out of jail. Amigo is welcomed into the Camaro gang. Camaro soon discovers Amigo's connection with Manco and plots to take him out. The situation reaches a boiling point on the US/Mexican border when Amigo, Manco, and Camaro meet for an old-fashioned Western shootout where truth and justice prevail in one single action.
