All in a Dream: A Film by Danny Davis

Danny Davis, a gifted snowboarder with a knack for riding halfpipe, thinks he has seen it all; from contest podiums on the world stage to backcountry trips in both hemispheres, he has quite literally been living a dream. But it hasn’t been without sacrifice. With what is likely his last Olympic competition at stake, his season plans are thrown into chaos after a devastating crash. During what seems like a routine visit to the hospital, an unusually familiar nurse and an MRI scan send Danny on a strange trip down memory lane. What starts as a pilgrimage to the powder fields of British Columbia, quickly turns into a road trip through Danny’s own mind as he revisits his humble beginnings, past injuries, friendly faces and inner demons. Joined by fellow snowboarders Mark McMorris, Ben Ferguson, Scotty Lago, Mikkel Bang, Nick Russell and more, Danny is forced to face his biggest challenge to date, himself.

In the 19th century, China held the monopoly on tea, which was dear and fashionable in the West, and the British Empire exchanged poppies, produced in its Indian colonies and transformed into opium, for Chinese tea. Inundated by the drugs, China was forced to open up its market, and the British consolidated their commercial dominance. In 1839, the Middle Empire introduced prohibition. Wild Man Blues

Wild Man Blues is a 1998 documentary film directed by Barbara Kopple, about the musical avocation of actor/director/comic Woody Allen. The film takes its name from a jazz composition sometimes attributed to Jelly Roll Morton and sometimes to Louis Armstrong and recorded by both (among others). Allen's love of early 20th century New Orleans music is depicted through his 1996 tour of Europe with his New Orleans Jazz Band. Allen has played clarinet with this band for over 25 years. Although Allen's European tour is the film's primary focus, it was also notable as the first major public showcase for Allen's relationship with Soon-Yi Previn.
