Wild Youth

Wild Youth is an ode to being young. A sensitive and intimate story of the first experiences of losing one's childlike innocence, questioning the imposed "masculinity" and (re)discovering yourself in the function of others.

1981

Stockholm, 1981. A man convinces his husband to go with him to a sauna to get new sexual experiences with other men. The man finds the sauna to be a safe place where he can explore his deepest desires. But even in paradise there are rules that you have to obey.

Colors & Boots

Joana has the same dream as all young Brazilian girls in the 80s: she wants to be a Paquita, a dancer on Xuxa's TV show. Her family is wealthy, and will support her. However, there is a problem; she is black and Xuxa never had a black Paquita on her team.

Boydem

This particular summer, at an age that falls between childhood and young adulthood, while their grandparents are taking their afternoon nap, Keren and Noam play games in the attic ("Boydem" in Yiddish) that introduces them to a new level of intimacy.

Summer

It is summer and it is hot. Ice cream drips from its cone, a father photographs his child. Then a man suddenly arrests his focus. Inspired by a picture from photographer Juan Medina, taken on the beach of Gran Tarajal in Spain in 2006, director Ronny Trocker animates a situation that happened today as it did yesterday, with the difference that today, no one moves. Time is frozen. A black man lies exhausted on the shore. It seems that no one has noticed his arrival.

Amor

An anguished woman awaits her love. A film is made about this. The parallels between the love between the woman and the film team are interspersed and show how this feeling can be both a pain and a joy.

An Eye for an Eye

Joseph, a young gay male, finds himself the random target of a hate crime and is severely beaten. He retreats into his own world and loses all faith upon hearing that he has permanently lost sight in one eye. In a loving, albeit misguided attempt to help him reclaim his life, Joseph's mother Rachel and best friend Derrick present him with a very unexpected present for his birthday, a face-to-face encounter with his attacker and a chance for revenge.

Kill or Be Killed

After his mother's departure, 13-year-old David is headed down a dangerous path. Neglected by his alcoholic father Paul, who blames David for his failed marriage, David takes solace in shoplifting, playing violent video games and doing drugs. One day, David forms an unexpected and intense friendship with Edward, the new kid in town.
