In a psychiatric hospital, a junior doctor is treating a young black man diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. The patient is having a final interview with the doctor, who has invited his mentor to sit in on the session. He is concerned that the diagnosis is inaccurate and would like the patient hospitalised for longer. The senior doctor, however, disagrees.

FATTO A MANO is a documentary short film that shows how a lot of essential food, from the region in Puglia, Italy, is handmade with a lot of energy, passion and knowledge and the people who produce it.

Two Days

The story concentrates on a single 48-hour period during the Russian Revolution. The central character, played by Y. E. Samchykovski, is an old servant who staunchly supports the Royal Family. Even when his master is placed in prison and his son is appointed a commissar, the servant remains faithful to the Czarist regime. But when his village is invaded by the White Russian army and his son is summarily executed, the old man realizes that his homeland is far better off in the hands of the revolutionaries, who seek to build rather than destroy. A "cleansing" fire brings this propaganda piece to an appropriately symbolic conclusion.

Akiho Yoshizawa, who boasts of idol-like popularity, plays a woman who is bewildered by her love that she pretends not to notice when her rival appears unexpectedly. Aki (Akiho Yoshizawa), who works at an Italian restaurant, has been managing the restaurant with Kawano (Hideki Nishioka), who stands alone in the kitchen since the death of his wife, who was in charge of desserts. For some reason, my heart flutters when I see the motion.

Frantz Fanon, mémoire d'asile

Using archive material and present-day accounts, the recalls the life of the Afro-Caribbean psychiatrist, Frantz Fanon. In 1953, at the age of twenty eigh, Fanon was appointed head doctor at the psychiatric hospital in Blida-Joinville, a few kilometres from Algiers. As amedical student in Paris, he had been appalled by the living conditions of the Algerian immigrants and gave over the rest of his brief life to analysing the alienation of the black man, of colonised people and man in general. The forcefulness of his writing - as in Black Skin, White Masks and The Wretched of the Earth - and the pertinence of his reasoning still resonate strongly into today's world.
