Megamall

Figures that inhabit a world of escalators pursue their desire to consume at a given rhythm. One of the figures is sucked in at the end of an escalator and finds itself in a quiet, weightless room where it joins a playing group. Meanwhile, the escalator world is thrown into confusion by a dog crazy about chips. When the dog is also sucked in by an escalator, a power struggle between the two worlds begins.

Nigel

A short film based on the true story of Nigel, the lonely gannet of Mana Island who hopelessly fell in love with a concrete statue. His tragic tale of idealisation and delusion shows us a reflection of our own misconceptions in love. MA Graduation film from Royal College of Art, London.

Sixteenth-century music sung brings an emotional dimension, which makes this short with a touch of brilliant production in gay cinematography. The short film won the TEDDY AWARD for short films at the 54th International Film Festival in Berlin in 2004. Day break in the red-light district of a Spanish town. Someone who earns their living in these parts makes their way home, sits down in front of the mirror and begins to remove their make-up. As they do so, they reflect on the events of the night to the strains of a song from the Middle Ages entitled "¿Con qué la lavaré?", a lament about single women which was once sung in four-part harmony. A celluloid tribute to homosexual artistes of the late 1970s, just after Franco's dictatorship.

Snubbed by a Snob

A young horse says hi to little donkey Spunky. But the horse's mother pulls him away, saying we don't associate with that kind. Spunky makes a few more overtures, and eventually they set off on a chase, running across a bull from time to time. The horse stops to eat a lot of apples and drink far too much water; this leaves him too bloated to move much at all. The two continue to anger the bull, which gives chase; Spunky saves the colt, and they all live in harmony.

The Early Worm Gets the Bird

A determined bird goes out early to hunt for a worm and the bird gets into trouble.

Locust Lane

A college student named Max recounts his childhood memories from the late 1990s, in which he becomes best friends with a boy named Arthur. As Max and Arthur gather both true and fictitious information about Arthur's neighborhood, they begin to dream up fantastical stories and fictional biographies about the eccentric people who live on Arthur's street, a mysterious place called Locust Lane.
