Richard III - version 3.0

The Santa Marta Acatitla Prison Theatre Company performs "Richard III version 3.0" an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play from 1633. An amateur dramatics group has been turned into the first professional theatre company inside a Mexican prison. The prison is located south/west of Mexico City lodges about 3 000 prisoners, and has both male and female wards. The culture program started in 2010 and is supported by Foro Shakespeare, founded by Mexican actors Bruno Bichir and Itari Marta. The play "Richard III" has been updated to deal with current events, corruption and lack of future.

Bazán Frías, elogio del crimen

A group of inmates decide to take on a workshop to act the life of Andrés Bazán Frías. Bazán Frías was born in poverty at the end of the XIX century and was known for stealing food to give to his neighbors. In 1923 he was murdered by the police. He became known as the "Robin Hood tucumano", and is now hold as a saint amongst the inmates.

Xolomeo y Pitbulieta

Reflects on the segregation, hatred, intolerance, discrimination, racism and class oppression, inviting us to recognize our differences and live peacefully in the world. An adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. A tour of various scenarios taken from the territories traveled by migrants such as the desert and the Rio Grande, they will travel with the characters to the fantastic world of Holliwuau, they will become fellow travelers towards the American dream. The productions of the Santa Marta Acatitla Prison Theatre Company are created and performed by inmates of the prison, with help from outside drama educators.

The film depicts the Christian West's attack on Jerusalem and the defense of Muslims led by Saladin. Believing that they will become rich and go to heaven if they capture Jerusalem, Christians led by Richard the Lionheart launch an attack. Saladin cannot find the support he expects from Muslim emirs. The Crusader armies are approaching Jerusalem, committing massacres along the way. Saladin, who has been wearing down the Crusaders with hit-and-run tactics for a long time, will defeat the Christians in the great battle and protect Jerusalem.

Cemil Dönüyor

The film tells the story of an idealistic police officer's struggle against smugglers. An international company is involved in arms smuggling. However, arms sales in the country are very low. The head of the holding company believes that advertising is necessary to increase sales. However, advertising arms is prohibited in the country. Therefore, the boss decides to secretly advertise by committing crimes in the country with smuggled arms. He plans to increase anarchy and terrorism among young people to boost arms sales. During a clash, a police officer and a university student are killed. The police officer who dies in the clash is a close friend of Commissioner Cemil. Cemil will collaborate with the university students whose friends were killed to dismantle the criminal organization.

In one of the oil-rich countries of the Muslim East, democratic forces are coming to power. Unwilling to lose control of black gold, one of the Western countries is carrying out a coup here, trying to present it as "liberation from the power of the Kremlin." A plan is being developed, the victims of which are progressive journalist Haidar and Soviet doctor Halima Atajanova, who works at a local Red Cross hospital.
