Taped at the Theater at Madison Square Garden shortly after the 2018 Grammys and broadcast on CBS this week, the evening saw Elton John and husband David Furnish seated front row for a tribute to the works of Elton John and Bernie Taupin from Ed Sheeran, Kesha, Sam Smith, Shawn Mendes & SZA, Little Big Town and more. The whole thing ended with a stellar performance from the man himself, with the majority of his all-star guests joining him for a rollicking "I'm Still Standing."

Lørdag den 5. april lagde Magasinet i Odense scene til showet med Carsten BAng, Lasse Rimmer, Omar Marzouk, Mikael Wulff og Sebastian Dørset. Samme aften blev showet optaget på video. Broadway star Jimmy Canfield stars in a patriotic show on the great white way during WWI. He plays the heroic soldier, but he is doesn't want to join the Army. In France he falls in love with a French barmaid and is arrested as spy. He escapes from prison, only to end in the uniform of a German officer leading "his" soldiers in an Allied trap. But being escaped from prison and wearing the enemy's uniform isn't that healthy in wartime.

A fugitive girl, a stuntman and a young man who lost his dog quite some time before, are joining together on a trip to reach each of their own destination. A youngster gets emotionally connected to the girl, and he'd try to help her to leave the bossy stuntman, to get false passport and escape to Paris.

Andrei Serban's spectacular and thrilling 1984 production of Puccini's final and grandest opera has long been a classic at the Royal Opera House. First filmed for BBC TV in the 80s, this new recording – of its fifteenth revival – is in stunning HD and makes this famous production available for the first time on DVD and Blu-ray. The release will rightfully take its place alongside the outstanding Royal Opera Puccini DVDs of La Bohème, Tosca (on EMI) and Trittico. American Lise Lindstrom is one of the very few contemporary Turandots who can genuinely sing this ‘killer’ role, and is supported by a touching Liù from Japanese soprano Eri Nakamura and an unashamedly Italianite Calaf from Marco Berti. The young Hungarian conductor Henrik Nánási directs the large orchestra and all-important chorus.

Piano Works - The Film

Craig Armstrong the Golden Globe, Bafta and Grammy winning composer performs pieces from his beautiful and critically acclaimed album Piano Works. Filmed in location in Paris the music films centres on a unique solo performance by Craig. This one hour long film shows an extremely rare sighting of the composer in the legendary Parisian Studio, Studio Eclair the un-modernised home to the French new-wave cinema movement of the 1960's. As the music swirls around, in and out of this historic cinematic space, so too does the viewer; jettisoning into the surrounding cityscape to experience the source of Craig's inspiration for the music.

Sidemen: Long Road To Glory

An intimate look at the lives and legacies of piano player Pinetop Perkins, drummer Willie 'Big Eyes' Smith and guitarist Hubert Sumlin, all Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf sidemen. The film captures some of the last interviews and their final live performances together, before their deaths in 2011. In this musical comedy, the trouble begins when a carefree playboy steals the virtue of a young French maiden and is forced to marry her when her angry father, a financier finds out. The playboy is flat broke, but does the honorable thing. The newlyweds then board a ship and sail off to the States. They are accompanied by the girl's ex-fiance. The plan was for the young marrieds to get a divorce as soon as possible, but then the groom realizes that he really does love the girl. Happiness ensues

Pointed Heels was supposed to have been a vehicle for "boop-boop-a-doop" girl Helen Kane, but by the time the film was released, Kane's role was reduced to a supporting part.
