The World's Applause

Robert is married to Elsa (Williams), the sister of John Elliott (Stone), the producer responsible for Corinne's rise to fame. The young woman's head is turned by the praise she receives and, despite John's warning against Robert, she permits the latter to paint her portrait and pay her a good deal of attention. John himself loves Corinne and believes that wisdom will come to her with time.

Tap Roots

Set at the beginning of the Civil War, Tap Roots is all about a county in Mississippi which chooses to secede from the state rather than enter the conflict. The county is protected from the Confederacy by an abolitionist and a Native American gentleman. The abolitionist's daughter is courted by a powerful newspaper publisher when her fiance, a confederate officer, elopes with the girl's sister. The daughter at first resists the publisher's attentions, but turns to him for aid when her ex-fiance plans to capture the seceding county on behalf of the South.

Beware of Greeks Bearing Guns

Manos, a Greek school teacher, is forced to travel to Melbourne, Australia when the man who murdered his grandfather 57 years ago surfaces there. While the reluctant Manos is tutored in the art of revenge by old friend Stephanos, he also attempts to patch things up with his former fiance Nicki.
