On the 3rd of August 1983, Prince played a benefit concert for the Minnesota Dance Theatre Company at First Avenue, Minneapolis. The concert was instigated by Loyce Houlton, artistic director of the long-time modern dance troupe. She had met Prince during the band's dance classes and asked him to play a benefit show. Prince's concert raise $23,000 for the financially beleaguered MDT dance company. The concert is generally regarded as one of the most excited shows he has ever played. The Complete Jam serves up a staggering 49 performances, divided between 16 promotional videos (previously available on the |Video Snap VHS collection), a seven-song excerpt from a 1980 live show, and a staggering 26 more drawn from the best of the band's television performances, ranging from their U.K. debut on Marc Bolan's fondly remembered Marc through to their nine-song farewell performance on The Tube. A couple of entertaining interviews, a photo gallery, and a short (and, sadly, very poorly narrated) documentary on the band's history complete the portrait.

The first live streaming of a full-length stadium concert, U2360° at the Rose Bowl streamed across seven continents, making history with over 10 million views in one week. Shot entirely in HD, this ground breaking concert was filmed with 28 cameras and directed by Tom Krueger who previously shot the concert film U23D. U2360° resumes in Europe in August with North American dates to follow in 2011.

As The Lights Go Down is essentially the Arena video without the theatrical sequences, although the live footage for many songs was edited differently. This version was first aired on the Cinemax cable television channel, and later on MTV and other music channels.
