We have selected 17 short films on the environment divided into 4 different categories: amateur, animation, fiction and documentary. These short films are in competition for the prize on each category.

Red

Red, a shy orphan who spent most of his childhood in a girly bar, grew up to be the town's best fixer. When a rich kid was gunned down in a drug bust that went wrong, Red was hired by Art, a spoiled socialite, to fix the mess.

Paris, 1913: Passionate, odiferous Pepe Le Pew pursues the latest love of his life, a cat who's been made up to look like a skunk, through the sets of a silent-movie studio.

Solar Attack

When the sun's increasing expulsions of plasma threaten to ignite methane in our atmosphere, international tensions rise while scientists race for a solution to avoid natural disaster.

Hello Bangkok

A social comedy play that shows what some young people do when traveling to some countries, where Saleh traveled with his owner - Bo Obaid to Bangkok, lying to his father Bousaleh on the pretext of searching for his son, but the son comes from London as soon as the father goes to the airport Bou Saleh and his grandson travel with the family of Sahib Saleh - Bou Obeid. Upon their arrival, the police in Bangkok arrest the grandson of Abu Saleh, why did the Bangkok police arrest the grandson of Bou Saleh? Is what Saleh said is true?

Threshold

An autobiographical documentary made by a mother who follows the gender transition of her adolescent son: between 2016 and 2019 she interviews him addressing the conflicts, certainties and uncertainties that pervade him in a deep search for his identity. At the same time, the mother, revealed through a firstperson narration and by her voice behind the camera that talks to her son, also goes through a process of transformation required by the situation that life presents her with by breaking old paradigms, facing fears and dismantling prejudices.

The Tender Tale of Cinderella Penguin

Cinderella has to stay home while her evil stepsisters go to the ball. You know the rest except everyone here is a penguin (even the mice that become the "horses") and the lost slipper is more like a swimming flipper.

Boy

Boy is the unsettling story of a young male prostitute, or Rent Boy, in a small rural town who learns the truth behind a hit and run accident which has killed a local girl. When the news of the girls death spreads through the community, the driver and his family decide that the boy must be silenced. The set out to scare him into silence. The pressure becomes more and more violent, but despite this, the boy battles to expose the truth.

Haircut

The film is set in Lisbon, and tells the story of a day in the life of Rita and Paulo, a Portuguese young couple of the 90's. The fast changing city around them makes them wish to break with all traditions and live the day the get married (only civil marriage) like it is an ordinary day.

The Kiss

The film is based on the short story by Anton Chekhov. Gentlemen invited to tea by the local landowner, a retired major-General von Rebbeca.. Lieutenant ryabovich lost in the darkness, in the rooms of the old house, suddenly kissed a stranger.

Midnight Tod

Due to his rebellious personality, Hao gets fired from his work. He takes all his belongings to stay at Tod's place. Unsatisfied with the current situation but remaining hopeful to the future, they try to do something to get back against the world and get what they deserve, even they have to go separate ways.

Christos is there because he is enthralled by the rebellious Manolis, a three-time army deserter his same age. Now, conflicted Manolis grapples with overwhelming feelings and forbidden desires.

A tale of a philosophical womanizer who is forced to question his seemingly carefree existence.

Gomorrah

An inside look at Italy's modern-day crime families, the Camorra in Naples and Caserta. Based on a book by Roberto Saviano. Power, money and blood: these are the "values" that the residents of the Province of Naples and Caserta have to face every day. They hardly ever have a choice and are forced to obey the rules of the Camorra. Only a lucky few can even think of leading a normal life.

Your Will Be Done

For Johannes and Lydia Klare, their faith in God comes first. Together they lead a small community in Stuttgart, successfully. People listen to them, they are becoming more and more close to them. There are even plans to make the donor-funded community much bigger by the generous contributions of Volker. First of all, the couple have quite different, more urgent points to take care of. When one day they watch the homeless street-boy Simon drifting back and forth in drug-related crises, they take him in for a short while. Together they want to help him again on the right path. But it is not just the drugs that are causing conflicts. Simon's homosexuality also presents the two with great challenge, since it is not so easy to unite with their faith.
