Mr. and Mrs. Gussle get up to some hijinks in this Keystone comedy.

Two

This short film shows an encounter, through a series of games, between a street child from the shantytowns and a child of a rich family, stationed at his window. The film has no dialogue and the action moves through the attempts at one-upmanship evident in their successive display of their toys. Their rivalry (a kite shot down by a toy rifle, for example) concludes with the opposition between the world of noise (the toys inside the house) and that of music (the street child's flute). Preserved by the Academy Film Archive in 2006.

The State Department Store

Kocsis Ferenc excellent staff appointed the new director of public stores. Ilonka a talented fashion designer, Boriska a dear, Daniel, a overzealous, Klimke, a conservative sale and Glauziusz uncle, conscientious, honest book promotes the work. Ilonka initially rather just keep arguing, even though both of their lives off the job. The selfishness will love soon. Dancs Meanwhile, the old manager spreads the rumor that the new socialist trade can not meet the demand. Relatives and friends start buying into action, leading to mass hysteria. However, the new store is borne by the customer siege until the arrival of the supply.

The New Toy

Samy lives happily with his wife, Alice, in a poor urban housing project amongst friends and neighbours. For his son’s birthday, the richest man in France throws open his grand department store, offering the boy whatever he wants. Alexandre chooses Samy, the night watchman, as his new toy…

We're in the Money

After the last human has left the department store, the toys proceed to the music department where they start performing the Warren/Dubin song "We're in the money". The money soon joins for a chorus, as well as display dolls in the wardrobe department.

An Inspector Calls

An upper-crust family dinner is interrupted by a police inspector who brings news that a girl known to everyone present has died in suspicious circumstances. It seems that any or all of them could have had a hand in her death. But who is the mysterious Inspector and what can he want of them?

A department store clerk, wrongly accused of stealing by her lecherous boss, becomes involved in a romantic relationship with the boss's son.
