Carola is a princess in a land far far away that had to run away after revolution in her country. She goes to Spain and has to disguise herself to save her life, because the revolution wants her to die. But Carola doesn't like to be imprisoned and secretly goes out by night to find out how spaniards live. What she didn't expect, was that she would fall in love with a man she meets in a restaurant, a man who works in a cabaret where she decides to start working as a singer because money is running out.

Aas Ka Panchhi

Rajan "Raju" Khanna lives with his elderly father Nihalchand, his mom, and his younger sister. He studies Arts in college, and has a sweetheart, fellow-collegian Neena Bakshi. He volunteers to rescue a senior military officer, gets through enemy lines, and is shocked to discover that the senior military officer is none other than Major Bakshi. Both men know that only one of them can make it safely back to his base.

Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore is one of the staples of the comic opera repertory. The plot hinges on whether earnest but dim-witted Nemorino will snag Adina, the flirtatious heroine. She's a tease who takes up with Belcore, an army sergeant, to make Nemorino jealous. After numerous (and humorous) plot twists that include a phony love potion, it all ends happily. Adina and Nemorino declare their love for each other, Belcore is dumped, and the fraudulent Dulcamara does a landslide business in love potions. It's all a fast-moving bundle of fun, especially with the star-filled cast of this 2005 Vienna State Opera performance.

The story, inspired by real testimonies, is constructed with images from the archives of the French army. From this apparently dissociated dialogue between image and word arises a sensitive homage to the memory that rests in the archives and to the ignored voice of its protagonists.
