Change

An African-American teenager grapples with his sexual identity on the night Barack Obama is elected President and Proposition 8 — the California voter initiative to eliminate same-sex marriage — is passed. When one of Jamie's friend group initiates the bullying of an openly gay classmate, Jamie uses his wits to try and prevent it, but when things don't go the way he predicted, he is forced to face his fears head on. Winner of the Audience Award for Best Short Film at Frameline35: The San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival, Change is a poetic and moving film which deftly examines one young man's internal identity struggles within the context of the modern movement for LGBT rights, and a high school experience fraught with peer pressure.

Kino Kopf

Born from steel and glass Kino Kopf is created by two inventors. They are assembled by their mother, a nurturing artist, and their Father a greedy entrepreneur. Kino Kopf is the first of its kind a sentient humanoid VHS camera. They are given a life by their mother but presented to the world by their father. Kino Kopf is the next big sensation and spurs a technological revolution. They are soon forgotten and alone as new models surpass them. Kino Kopf is left alone to contemplate if they ever had a soul, as visions of an electric cowboy dance through their dreams.

Les corps aqueux

An experimental film exploring gender identities excluded from the binary system. By constructing a theatrical space including fabricated sets and props, invented radio interviews, vignettes of archival footage, as well as overlays, the film explores the relationship between body and self. In this in-between space, uncertainty can finally have free rein.

Resonances

An overly anxious man mysteriously finds himself unable to leave a bathroom.

Three friends, Robban, Alexander and Kim has just left the compulsory school, and now they consider themselves grown-up and mature, being 16 years old. During the summer holiday they also get a bit of experience of the world: Robban becomes a full-time drug addict, Alexander plays in a rock band but leaves it and Kim is desperate to get the girl of his dreams.

BORN SEXY YESTERDAY: Decoding the Enigma of Beauty

The phrase "Born Sexy Yesterday" is derived from the 1950 film "Born Yesterday." However beneath this superficial portrayal of some women lies a more complex understanding , revealing deeper narratives that resonate with many. October 1, 1985. The chilling emptiness in Michele Avila's eyes. Her murder, a savage ballet of teenage fury, ripped through the town, festering wounds exposing the venomous underbelly of a seemingly innocent friendship. Jealousy, a serpent coiled in the heart of adolescence, struck with the force of a viper, revealing the terrifying depths of envy's reach. These weren't just girls; they were predators. Women are born with many layers, a mix between good and evil. Ironically of all the positive tropes that can validate the existence of women, why is it that "Born Sexy Yesterday" is a trope that resonates with our male counterparts the most?
