In the finale, Mario refuses to accept SMG4’s decision to retire the series and inadvertently uses the Wizard Rock to wish that SMG4 never ends. This wish thrusts Mario into an alternate reality where he never existed and none of his friends remember him. Realizing the consequences of his wish, Mario must navigate this altered world and rediscover a way back to his original timeline, ultimately learning to appreciate the memories and friendships that made the original SMG4 universe meaningful.
