Taking cues and tropes from Y2K era high school rom-coms; Lily, Maggie, and Stan navigate the first week of their sophomore year with relative ease until people start disappearing around them one by one. Will there be anyone left to take to the Halloween Dance? Written in August. Scripted scenes were given to 65 individual animators who signed up to direct, animate, & score across the month of September 2022.

The Curse

While out for a walk in the countryside, Marina and Juvenal stop to take some pictures in front of an old woman’s house. Annoyed, the old woman turns out to be a witch and casts a curse on the young couple in the form of a wound that feeds on raw flesh.

Flaming Creatures

Filmmaker and artist Jack Smith described his own film as a “comedy set in a haunted movie studio.” Flaming Creatures begins humorously enough with several men and women, mostly of indeterminate gender, vamping it up in front of the camera and participating in a mock advertisement for an indelible, heart-shaped brand of lipstick. However, things take a dark, nightmarish turn when a transvestite chases, catches and begins molesting a woman. Soon, all of the titular “creatures” participate in a (mostly clothed) orgy that causes a massive earthquake. After the creatures are killed in the resulting chaos, a vampire dressed like an old Hollywood starlet rises from her coffin to resurrect the dead. All ends happily enough when the now undead creatures dance with each other, even though another orgy and earthquake loom over the end title card.

Americana

A group of online friends meet in person for the first time and discover their host is an enigmatic entity who molds a private world just for them. Through surrealistic individual battles with regret, trauma, failure, and mental disorder, each must decide if laboring through life is a worthwhile effort.

Round My Place

Round My Place follows a gentle yet slightly twisted northern bloke, called Richard Crimble, as he gives us a guided tour of his old run down apartment. To Richard it is more than just an old apartment though. It sparks his strange imagination, making him consider the place's past and how each little detail came to be.

The Beautiful, the Bloody, and the Bare

An artist and his wife hold art classes using nude models. Their photographer friend Pete returns from two years in Europe, and they try to convince him he has a promising career in nude photography. He eventually agrees to try it, but finds that the sight of red hair or red nail polish triggers unhealthy impulses, to the detriment of some of his models.

When wildlife photographer Tara returns home from a photo trip to the California mountains, she's beset by violent agoraphobia. Her boyfriend Matthew tries to get her into treatment as she escalates episodes of self-harm, convincing herself that her house has become home to a dark insect brood.

A photographer for a men's magazine is haunted by disturbing dreams, in which he slaughters his models. When he learns that these models are dying in real life as they did in his dreams, he begins to go insane.

A musical horror story about two young women who are stalked through a shopping mall by a cannibal. He follows them home, and here the victims become the aggressors.

Lost Footage

How would a found footage film look if the footage was never found? This conceptual art experiment questions the very nature of film and cinema while serving as an ironic tribute to the found footage horror pop culture. The found footage format provides the narrative justification for such a film to exist: the non-existence exists because the footage existed yet it was lost and never found.
