For her first production, Marina Hands chose "Six Characters in Search of an Author," a play by Luigi Pirandello that premiered in Rome in 1921. A team rehearsing is interrupted by six characters in search of an author willing to write their story, which has gone from drama to drama. Luigi Pirandello had the brilliant idea of doubling the conflictual relationships within this dysfunctional family with another type of dispute: the characters rebel against the false truth of the actors and actresses playing out their story. Bungalow 21

In 1960, two legendary couples stayed at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. Simone Signoret and Yves Montand stayed in bungalow 20: they loved each other, they were beautiful, still young, full of life, at the height of their fame. But Marilyn Monroe, staying in the neighboring bungalow, was an irresistible woman whose relationship with writer Arthur Miller was on the rocks. Simone became friends with Marilyn, while Yves filmed with her, trying to resist her seduction. Unfortunately, Arthur left. The lives of four people are shattered. Neither woman will ever truly recover from this affair, and each will be plagued by doubt. Recorded on January 12 and 13, 2024, at the Théâtre de la Madeleine in Paris's 8th arrondissement.

Take Me Home

Chorus girl Peggy Lane, finds a small part in a new show for David North, a stages-truck country boy. At rehearsal, David meets Delerys Devore, the show's star, and she quickly offers him a larger part in her act. Quite taken with David, Delerys invites him to her home on the pretext that Peggy will be there; when Peggy does not show up, David leaves, infuriating his hostess. Derelys has Peggy fired the next day, and in reprisal Peggy goads her into a Carmenesque fight backstage just before the show. Derelys is unable to go on stage, and Peggy takes her place, becoming the hit of the show. Peggy and David are later married and give up show business, finding contentment living on a farm.

The incredible story of swimmer Alfred Nakache, played by Amir Haddad. Alfred Nakache is one of those modern-day heroes whose story is little known. Born in Constantine and raised in Toulouse, he was France's best swimmer in the 1940s. Arrested by the Gestapo and then deported, he swam in the unsanitary pools of Auschwitz, from which his wife and daughter never returned. In their memory, this survivor of horror picked himself up and resumed competition until he regained his title as French Champion and once again represented his country at the Olympic Games.
